Our Goals

Roaring Fork Safe Passages is a citizen-led advocacy organization dedicated to reducing wildlife-vehicle collisions in the Roaring Fork Valley. We bring together local residents, businesses, government agencies, and state partners to plan and build wildlife crossing infrastructure—overpasses, underpasses, and strategic fencing—that reconnects our fragmented watershed, restores critical migration corridors, and protects both wildlife and people.

Finding safe ways for wildlife to negotiate our highways is good for people, who’ll experience many fewer critter collisions, and for the critters who must cross highways to survive. Safe passages save money and save lives, both human and wild.
