About Us

Who We Are

This citizen led coalition will create a valley-wide plan to mitigate wildlife vehicle collisions. While there are state and federal funds available, it will take strong community involvement and a dedicated organization like Roaring Fork Safe Passages to enact real change.

This initiative was accelerated under the wing of Watershed Biodiversity Initiative . WBI is the acting fiscal sponsor for Roaring Fork Safe Passages.   WBI’s valley-wide study of the million-acre Roaring Fork Watershed has produced a science-based strategy for the protection and restoration of natural biodiversity and habitat connectivity on a landscape scale. This study and the fiscal sponsorship laid the foundations for RFSP by identifying the critical points of constraints between areas of high-value habitat.  Join us in our mission to make our valley safer for animals and humans alike.
